(i) Master’s Degree in Library
Science/Information Science/
Documentation Science or an
equivalent professional degree
with at least 55% marks (or an
equivalent grade) with knowledge
of computerization of library.
(ii) Candidates must have
qualified in Library Science at
the National Eligibility Test
conducted by the UGC or any
other test like SET/SLET
accredited by the UGC for the
purpose of recruitment in West
Bengal. (Not applicable for
candidates who have been
awarded Ph.D. degree in
accordance with the UGC).
Age Limits (For all posts): within
37yrs as on 01-01-2013. Upper
age relaxation for OBC—3yrs;
SC/ST—5yrs; PH—10yrs and
others—as per Govt. norms.
Pay scale: Pay Band –
Rs.15,600-39,100/- plus
Academic Grade Pay of
Rs.6000/-

Candidates should print-out the
Fee Payment Challan from the
website for paying Application
fee through any branches of
United Bank of India.
Candidates will have to wait for
at least two working days (after
uploading scan copy of passport
size photograph and signature
successfully) before the bank
accepts fee payment. Payment
will be accepted in any branch of
United Bank of India in India
only after a lag of at least two
working days.

generate a Registration Slip with

then send the printout, along
with self-attested photocopies of
all relevant documents pertaining
to the eligibility, qualification,
experience, research &
publication etc. to the
Commission’s office (Address
given below)
The certificates/documents will
be verified during the interview.
